More and more courts are requiring local forms, in addition to the Official Forms. BankruptcyPRO® has a feature that lets you create these forms and use them across cases so you don’t have to retype data you’ve already entered in your cases. In many instances, we have created these forms for you, but we’ll be glad to enable you to create others.
You can “shop” for FREE forms from either inside or outside a case. To check if the form has already been created by LegalPRO, click on the green FD button at the top of the screen. Once you see the list of templates, you should see two tabs: Local and Internet. Switch to the Internet tab. Set the filter at the top to the jurisdiction you’re looking for. If you see your local form on the list, highlight it and click the Download button. It will show up on your Local tab with a maroon arrow.
Generally, you will want to download the ones created by LegalPRO Systems. You may see other forms on the Internet tab that other BankruptcyPRO users have shared. (You may wish to share some at later date and are welcome to do so.) Check these carefully, because they may contain firm names and addresses from the sharers. Once you have downloaded a form, you can edit it on your computer in FlashDOCS.
If you don’t see a particular form and would like to make a request, or you’d like help with setting up your own internal forms (such as a retainer agreement, a 341 letter to your client, a Motion to Extend Time to File Schedules, etc.), please call us for assistance or click here to contact us by e-mail.
