What is FlashDOCS and why you need to start using it now

FlashDOCS® is a very powerful word processor/merge capability that is built into BankruptcyPRO®. Using FlashDOCS, you can create templates (forms) usable across cases to produce documents pre-populated with information from your case.

Editing and customizing templates to create a myriad of individualized documents is another powerful tool FlashDOCS offers. Its powerful merge capability gives you a fast and consistent way to generate documents using the data you have already entered in BankruptcyPRO. Some LegalPRO clients manage their entire bankruptcy practice using forms created in FlashDOCS.

If you’ve ever done a word processing merge, FlashDOCS is considerably faster. Creating your forms using FlashDOCS cuts down on errors because there is no re-typing information. You’ve already typed it and don’t need to use another word processor and copy and paste data from one program to another.

FlashDOCS has the usual bold, center, numbering, bullets, spell checker, find text, search and replace, headers and footers, and undo capabilities. You can set tab stops to line items up where needed. You can single or double-space as well as use tables. There are also buttons to insert section symbols and check boxes that check and uncheck by double-clicking on them.  You can have a template prompt you for information not usually entered in your case.  And in combination with the user-defined fields your templates can be tailored even more closely to your specific office needs. 

Examples of templates you can create and customize include: retainer agreements, motions, proposed orders, letters to every creditor in a case (individually addressed); individually addressed letters to selected clients advising them of their 341 meeting date and time (and their contact in your office); lists of clients sorted by zip code so you can see your demographics; lists of clients filtered by keywords (how did they find you?), and on and on and on. 

Once set up, your templates can be used in any applicable case. For example, you can use a 341 letter template repeatedly by simply selecting a different date range.

You can save generated documents either as PDF files for electronic filing or as Rich Text Format (RTF) files. Saving the documents as RTF files allows users to edit the document in their own word processing program or edit them in the FlashDOCS interface.

You can attach FlashDOCS-generated documents to official forms, and use the built-in Document Tracker to keep an audit trail of complete and/or filed documents.
