Instead of creating mail rules in I-Got-Notices® for each client, users can sort incoming ECF notices by using filters. The filter options are on the left side of I-Got-Notices underneath the Check & Process Mail button.
If the Filters options are not displayed, click on the arrow to the right of the word Filters to display them. The Filter options are:
- Only Show New
- Date
- Case Number
- Name
- Subject
- Docket
- Creditor
- Account
- Only Show Starred Items
To begin filtering, users need enter the information they would like to sort by along with the correct check box(es).
For example, if a user wanted to see only new ECF notices for case number 12-12345, they would:
- Select the Only Show New check box
- In the Case Number field, enter case number 12-12345
- Select the Case Number check box
- Displayed on the right side are all the new ECF Notices with case number 12-12345
When Filters are active in the Mail Tab, a red bar Filtering Active will appear above the Check & Process Mail button. A similar red bar with Case Filtered Views will appear in the same area when a user is on the Case Tab. The only displayed data in the Case Tab will be about active Filter.
To stop filtering throughout I-Got-Notices, at the top of the right hand side click on the red X. This will clear all active filters in I-Got-Notices.
